[Review] 1/35 Nu Head

Purchased this kit for a 1/35 Nu head build with 2 other modellers.
A quick unboxing review of the contents.

Kit is re-casted by Super-G. Standard packaging from Super-G and casted in cream color resin.
Contents include:
- Resin parts with separate pack for the delicate v-fin
- Reference photo of the completed kit
- Acrylic base
- Water slide and metal decals
- LED and battery pack

All parts laid out and accounted for. A total of 40 parts including 3 transparent parts. V-fin came with a cardboard backing for support.
Surface is relatively smooth, hands felt a little greasy after handling the parts. Grease on the parts needs to be removed during the washing stage.

Details are quite alright, some parts are crisp, while there are some with uneven surfaces.
Some close up photos of the resin details.

Some pictures of the completed kit by other modellers from the internet, or rather pictures that made me buy this kit <.<

Thanks for looking!!!

MsB 00 Raiser

I am done with this kit, took me almost too long to finish it. Started as a OOB build, then primed, then went back and decided to get the resin, then prep work and prime again, then painting and so on.... Quite a number of hiccups on the way but I'm glad I finished it.

Kit is MG 00 Raiser + MS-Build resin conversion recasted by Utopia Cast.
Probably not going to attempt another MG 00 or it's variants cause it just has so many parts...but great design on the kit itself!

Not much action poses caused I'm afraid of the paint scratching or chipping off.
Thanks for looking anyway!!

[WIP] MsB 00 Raiser Part 4

Some updates, managed to get most of the painting done. Also finished masking as well for the white areas, opted to go for the slight brownish color (leftover color as the HG Unicorn I did some time back).

Fortunately, the masking tape did not lift any paint, thanks to all the surface cleaning I did.

Gloss coat sprayed down before panel lines and decals. Panel lines done using Tamiya Accent black and cleaned using lighter fluid. Used some 3rd party decals which fell apart in water, had to re-use warning decals from another decal sheet.

Thanks for looking!

[WIP] MsB 00 Raiser Part 3

Finished assembly and priming. 2 rounds of priming done as 1st round revealed some areas of roughness and uneveness which required to be filled and sanded.

Proceeded on to painting next. Thinking of doing a RG color scheme, 2 tones for the white parts, not quite sure about double tones for the blue areas.
Got the main colors painted first before doing any masking for 2nd color tone. As you can see from the parts, I'm doing both the 00 gundam and the raiser together, cause if I finish either 1 first, I will be too lazy to do the other one lol..

Thanks for looking!
